This is where Polish Konik horses—the only native primitive horse breed—live freely. You can encounter them while walking through the forest or see them in specially designed educational enclosures
For decades, the Station has been conducting research on animal conservation and biodiversity preservation. The extensive paddocks and natural habitats allow for direct observation of the animals in their natural environment.
The Station also features a small museum housed in an 18th-century granary. It showcases the history of Polish Konik breeding and the scientific research conducted in Popielno, and serves as an excellent introduction to this unique place.
