From the Centre for Agrotechnology and Veterinary Medicine to InLife

How the Institute was founded
The InLife Institute of Animal Reproduction and Food Research of the Polish Academy of Sciences began operations on 1 April 1988, initially (until 1995) under the name Centre for Agrotechnology and Veterinary Medicine of the Polish Academy of Sciences.
The founders of the institute were Prof. Halina Kozłowska (director from 1997 to 2000) and Prof. Tadeusz Krzymowski, a full member of the Polish Academy of Sciences (director from 1988 to 1997).
It is worth noting that the Institute began its operations without its own premises, and its research staff consisted of just a few people. However, by the end of its first year of operation, the Institute employed 32 research staff, including: 3 professors, 5 associate professors, 9 assistant professors and 15 research assistants.
